CINCINNATI @ PITTSBURGH (PIT -3, 43) - LOSS

BENGALS vs. STEELERS 9/26/21

What typically happens when Pittsburgh plays Cincinnati is this. The Steelers win. Boom!

Now, simply betting the Steelers to win is not the best idea here in 2021. There are just too many questions with the Pittsburgh offense. The Steelers were 6.5-point underdogs at Buffalo in Week 1. The offense was lethargic at best, but defense and special teams won the game.
Last week, Pittsburgh’s offense was even worse against the Raiders and that defense got torched for 382 passing yards by Derek Carr. There are still big problems running the football. In two games, the Steelers have 114 rushing yards. That isn’t going to cut it.
Cincy isn’t all that much better. They have run the football – 218 yards – but QB Joe Burrow was picked off on three consecutive drives last week in a loss to Chicago. The Bengals offense managed just 13 points as Burrow barely got to 200 yards passing.
If you’ve soaked all that in, you probably understand why we are going to back the Under. This total opened at 46 and it’s now down to 43 for a reason. Both of these offenses couldn’t fight their way out of wet paper bag.
The Bengals have scored 17 or fewer points in seven of their past ten games. Not surprisingly, the Under has cashed in six of Cincinnati’s last nine games.
The Steelers haven’t exactly torn it up on the scoreboard either. They failed to reach 20 points in five of their last nine games. In the series with the Bengals, the scoreboard operator hasn’t been all that active. In four of the last six games between these two teams, the Under has hit. Four of the last seven Bengals-Steelers totals have been 43 or less.
Keep in mind that the Bengals defense is sixth in total defense right now. We all know what Pittsburgh is capable of. With that, back the Under with confidence.
